What was said?

Type it like it was said out loud — word-for-word not required. Any language works, we match by meaning.

Nothing handy?

Who it’s for

Two jobs. One receipt.

Every receipt is the same: verbatim quote, exact second, live source link. What changes is who pulls it.

About

A track record, made undeniable.

ItoldYou turns public video into a timestamped record of who said what, when. Owners claim theirs and sell with it. PR, comms and research teams pull the same receipt on any public figure.

01

Person-centric

One record tied to a person, not a single channel. Their own videos today, guest spots next.

02

Public & linked

Every receipt opens the live source at the exact second. Verbatim, or it doesn’t ship.

03

Quotes, not ratings

No truth scores, no verdicts. We show the tape and let the record argue.

Roadmap

Plug ItoldYou receipts into your AI stack.

Your assistant pulls the verbatim quote, the exact second and the source link.

We’ll show it when it works.

FAQ

Fair questions, straight answers.

+What exactly do I get for $19?
The $19 pack: 25 video credits, one payment, no subscription. A credit is spent the first time we read a video. After that, every new question about that video is free forever: change the phrase, dig the transcript, re-ask next month. Credits never expire.
+How do credits work across devices? I see no account.
Honest answer: we're in beta and there are no accounts yet, so the sign-in link IS the account. Right after payment we email you "Your 25 video credits are ready" with an Open my workspace button. Open that link on any device (laptop, phone, another browser) and your credits follow you there. Lost the email? Hit Get my credits back, enter the email you paid with, and a fresh link arrives in a minute. Sorry for the rough edges. Everything works, and if anything looks off, support answers fast.
+I paid, but I don't see my credits.
The confirmation usually lands in seconds: the checkout returns you to a receipt page, and the email with your workspace link arrives right after. If the counter still shows nothing, write to support@itoldyou.app with your receipt. A human will restore your credits quickly. No payment gets lost.
+Is this a fact-checker?
No, and on purpose. We never rate whether a statement is true. We answer one question only: were these words actually said on tape? You get the verbatim quote, the exact second, and the link to the public video. If the words were never said, you get an honest "Not on tape" with the closest things that were actually said.
+How does the search actually work?
We read every word of the video’s public captions and search by meaning, so your wording doesn’t need to match exactly. A stricter pass then confirms the verbatim quote before we stamp it. Near-misses are shown as "Close" with the reason they didn’t qualify. A quote is never stretched to fit: when nothing qualifies, the verdict is "Not on tape".
+Which videos can it read?
Any public YouTube video with captions, auto-generated or manual, in any language. Music videos usually have captions disabled, so they won't work. Very long streams are read up to roughly four hours of speech, and we tell you when a video was longer than that. A failed read never costs a credit.
+What about refunds?
Simple: 14 days, no questions, as long as you’ve spent 3 credits or fewer. Failed reads never charge. Details are in the Refunds section of our legal page, or just write to support.
